A fun activity that illustrates the amazing power of our memory.
1. See if you can guess who it is in the high school picture before their name comes up.
2. Notice how many times that picture will recall somebody else that either YOU knew in high school or you met in your life that resembles the star in the picture. You’re beginning to witness how the memory works and we bump into recorded information stored in our brain.
3. Notice how by looking at the pictures that you actually begin to feel a little like you’re in high school again too
4. Notice how the music is making you feel younger practically on the spot.
Memory is so incredibly powerful in the guidance of our lives. High school is not happening now yet notice how we could feel it, see it, hear it like it was.
Amazing. We don’t collect enough happy memories and recall them often enough. (I know we have unhappy ones from high school too… it was a tough time for many… and we’ll chat on them later….
For now, let’s start with a fun nostalgic activity)
- What was the first happy memory you envisioned? Write it down. Give it a one or 2 word title.
- Write down the song you hear, how it looked and how you felt.
- Now reread and revisit those images, those sounds and those feelings at least once a day this week. Every morning to start your day would be even better! (play the video again if it helps you get in the rhythm of it).
- Notice how you can almost instantly recall and feel them. Enjoy that feeling.
- Notice how in a minute you can shift your state of mind that quickly. Stay tuned on how we can use and change our memories to create relief and happiness in our lives.Meanwhile…. enjoy the fun.
- Enjoy connecting with your younger self. and….please post “Done” here and share what you noticed!https://youtu.be/L3J4SpXiTbA
